Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question about ordering, delivery, card condition or returns? You'll find answers to the most common questions below.

Orders & Dispatch

Orders are normally packed and dispatched twice each week, typically on Wednesday and Sunday evenings. We aim to dispatch all orders within 3 working days, although dispatch days may occasionally vary during busy periods or around bank holidays.

If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. If your order has not yet been dispatched, we will do our best to help. Once an order has been dispatched, any cancellation or return will be handled in line with our Returns & Refund Policy.

Orders placed on weekends or bank holidays will still enter our normal dispatch schedule. We aim to dispatch all orders within 3 working days.

Our stock is updated regularly, but very occasional inventory errors can happen. If an item you ordered is unavailable, we will contact you and refund the affected item or discuss an alternative where appropriate.

If multiple orders are placed using matching customer and delivery details before dispatch, we may combine them into a single parcel.

Shipping charges are applied separately to each order at checkout and will not be refunded if the orders are combined for dispatch.

Shipping & Delivery

Orders from £0.00 to £9.99 are sent using an untracked Royal Mail service for £1.99.

Orders from £10.00 to £49.99 are sent using Royal Mail Tracked 48 for £2.99.

Orders of £50.00 or more are sent using Royal Mail Tracked 48 for £4.99.

Orders containing accessories are sent using Royal Mail Tracked 48 for £5.00.

Full details are available in our Shipping Policy.

Orders valued at £10 or more, along with orders containing accessories, are sent using Royal Mail Tracked 48 and will have tracking information.

Orders under £10 are sent using an untracked Royal Mail service and will not have live tracking.

Delivery time starts once your order has been dispatched.

Royal Mail Tracked 48 normally aims to deliver within 2–3 working days after dispatch.

Standard untracked delivery usually takes a similar amount of time, although delays can occasionally occur.

If your order has not arrived, please email us at info@mr-card-singles.co.uk and include your order number.

Royal Mail asks senders to allow a certain amount of time before an item can formally be treated as lost. For Royal Mail Tracked 48, this is normally the expected delivery date plus 7 working days. For our standard untracked service, this is normally the expected delivery date plus 10 working days.

If your order is still within this period, we may ask you to allow a little more time for delivery. Once the relevant Royal Mail timeframe has passed, we will investigate the delivery and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement where available or a refund.

You do not need to make a claim with Royal Mail yourself — we will handle this for you.

If an order is confirmed or reasonably considered lost in transit, we will investigate the issue with Royal Mail and arrange a replacement where available, or a refund.

You will not be expected to make the postal claim yourself.

Not currently. We currently ship within the United Kingdom only.

Card Condition

These are the condition grades we use for trading cards.

NM means Near Mint.
LP means Lightly Played.
MP means Moderately Played.
HP means Heavily Played.

We are creating a full Card Condition Guide with more detail and examples for each grade.

Each card is graded during our uploading and storage process, so its condition should remain the same until dispatch.

We look at factors such as edge wear, surface marks, scratches, whitening, dents and other signs of handling or play.

Condition grading can involve a degree of judgement, so minor differences in interpretation may occasionally occur.

We take care to assess cards consistently, but occasional issues or errors can still happen.

If you believe a card has been supplied in a condition materially different from the condition advertised, please contact us with your order number and, where possible, clear photographs of the card.

Depending on the nature of the difference, we may offer a partial refund, full refund, replacement where available, or ask for the card to be returned.

Foil cards are graded using the same general condition standards as non-foil cards, while also taking into account foil-specific issues such as surface scratching, clouding or other visible wear.

Yes. We only sell genuine Magic: The Gathering cards and do not knowingly list or sell proxies or counterfeit cards.

We have extensive experience handling Magic cards and check authenticity as part of our normal sorting and listing process.

If you ever have concerns about the authenticity of a card you receive from us, please contact us before taking any further action and we will review it with you.

All cards are listed using their official Magic: The Gathering artwork rather than individual photographs of the exact copy.

For higher-value cards, we may be able to provide additional photographs of the specific card so you can check its condition before ordering.

If you would like to request photos of a higher-value card, please contact us before placing your order.

Returns & Refunds

Yes. Online orders are covered by a 14-day cancellation period.

You must let us know within 14 days of receiving your order if you wish to cancel, and you then have 14 days to return the goods.

Please see our Returns & Refund Policy for full details.

Please email us at info@mr-card-singles.co.uk with your order number and details of the incorrect item.

Depending on the circumstances and stock availability, we will send the correct item where available or refund the affected card.

Please email us at info@mr-card-singles.co.uk with your order number and details of the missing card.

We will review the order and either send the missing item where available or refund the affected card.

Please email us at info@mr-card-singles.co.uk as soon as possible and include your order number.

Where possible, please also send photographs of the damaged item and packaging, as these may help us investigate the issue with Royal Mail.

Once a refund has been approved, we will process it back to the original payment method.

Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to show the refund in your account.

If you are returning an unwanted item because you have changed your mind, you are normally responsible for the return postage cost.

If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise not as described, we will handle the return in line with your statutory rights and our Returns & Refund Policy.

Packaging

We package every order carefully to help protect your cards during transit.

Card orders are normally sent using hard-backed envelopes. Depending on the size of the order, cards may be individually sleeved or grouped and protected using bubble wrap.

Larger orders may be sent using bubble mailers or flexible mailing bags, with additional protection used where appropriate.

We use sleeves, toploaders and other rigid protection where appropriate depending on the card, order size and value.

Not every order is packed in exactly the same way, as we choose the most suitable protection for the contents.

Larger orders may be bubble wrapped as a group and sent using a bubble mailer or flexible mailing bag.

Additional protection may be added depending on the size and value of the order.

Higher-value cards may receive additional rigid protection and reinforcement depending on the individual card and order.

Higher-value orders are also sent using tracked delivery.

Our hard-backed envelopes are marked on the back with a Mr Card Singles stamp so you can easily identify where the parcel has come from.

Products & Stock

Much of our stock comes from individual cards and collections, so some cards may only be available in very limited quantities.

Once that copy has sold, it may not return until we acquire another one.

Sometimes.

Our stock changes constantly as new collections and cards are added, but we cannot guarantee that a particular card will return.

We regularly add and update stock across the website.

Our larger card uploads are usually completed in batches of around 10,000 cards at a time, but we also make smaller uploads, restock existing cards and adjust quantities regularly depending on new stock, demand and business needs.

Follow Mr Card Singles on Instagram or Facebook to hear about our larger stock uploads and new arrivals.

Yes. Alongside singles, we also stock sealed Magic: The Gathering products and accessories.

This can include booster packs, booster boxes, deck boxes, dice and other trading card accessories.

Our sealed and accessory ranges are updated regularly as new stock becomes available, so please check back for new products and restocks.

Trading card prices can change over time based on factors such as demand, availability, reprints and wider market movement.

We use automated pricing models that combine data from multiple sources and run through our pricing algorithms daily, helping us keep prices as current and relevant as possible.

Occasionally, a source may contain unusual or incorrect market data, which can affect a price. If we spot an issue, we review and correct it as quickly as possible.
